ICC Oscars and A Twatto Comic

It was the ICC Awards time today and all of you can go now and dance a wild can can with your mom's shoes on and fire crackers even if it isn't Diwali. That is for all you SRT fans. In the meanwhile I'm going to put a few crackers in Swanny's pants.

The super excitement for this super important event couldn't build up the way I wanted because I thought the awards were on the 8th. But somehow, they had them today and they were much more agreeable than last year. Last year was just the time when you wanted to stuff the whole selection panel in Haydos' sweaty shirt and bowl them to Virender Sehwag.

Not this year because the winners chosen makes sense. Kind of.

The ICC Cricketer's of the Year is Tendulkar. Was that even a question? If Tendulkar didn't win this time, war could have been declared on the ICC. He deserved it, simple as that.

For the Tests, Virender Sehwag won. The Indians are really ruling this thing, just as Sehwag rules every bowler who thinks can bowl to him. But boy, this man was amazing throughout the year. I just hope he is tired now and plays rubbish when India visit South Africa. Otherwise Harro's World Cup dreams are going to be entirely ruined.

The ODI award went to AB de Villiers. Aha. Finally a Saffer. Some might say he was the wrong guy to be chosen for this, but he gobbled up a whole lot of runs this year so he deserved it. Talking of AB, I've no idea how his performance on stage went, but even hearing about it was a complete shocker. I can smell Lee burning from here. Learn the virtues of sharing Binga, is it the end of the world if AB too becomes India's favourite out-of-country singer boy?

There is something about Twatto too. He wasn't spotted at the Awards, but he knows all about it and is very concerned.

Sadly, I doubt Twatto need to worry about being dropped. He has been the anointed Golden Boy of Australian cricket since way back when he was busy posing as a Tasmanian. Yes. That long ago. Really. I can't think of anything even remotely cricket-related he could do that would see him dropped at this stage.

There is only one thing better than being a talented cricketer, and that's being a lucky cricketer. Watson must be the luckiest cricketer out there. From the way he found himself opening, to the ways in which he manages to survive at the crease. It's just unfair.

Wasn't at the ceremony was he? Well thank God. He's so jammy that he probably would have scooped something just for turning up. It wouldn't surprise me if he wins Miss World next year.

...jealous? Me? pfff

I consider Twatto to be undroppable too, and I'm even ready to accept he is actually a good player (Bweek, takes a lot to say this). Through the cartoon I wanted to portray him as the whinger and melodramatic boy. About anything could make that chap cry.

Stani, I found out later he was there. They sadly only had a picture of him arriving at the awards. A picture after it would have been so much more worth.
And if it ever happened that you would feel jealous, you can compete with him for that Miss World Title. It'd be nice seeing you in one of those fancy lady dresses.

Oi, those pics on facebook are misleading. Not my fault I make a stunner of a lady :) heeeehahahaha

P.S, I was thinking I'd go Miss Universe. What you think?

I've neva agreed wid ICC and it was the same this time. Swann or Mitchie must have got the Test player of the year award.

Sorry Stani, but you won't win the Miss Universe title from me. :P

Most of us love hating the ICC Sanya. The winners this year were still better than those previously, but I still had thought Swann would have won something. Well Finny won something at least, so cheer up! :)

Fair enough, but I'd come second no? Then I'll take over when you're old and wrinkly (very soon) doohoohahahaaa

I can't believe how much that looks like Twatto! It's uncanny.

And Betti is right - there's is no way Watto is getting dropped. They love him. I just pray they don't make him bowl too often.

@Sanya - Swann wasn't even really nominated for cricketer of the year, if he had won there would have been some comeback.

His hair makes it much easier to draw him really.
Together with Twatto we might have to put up with seeing North in the team too.

Stani, unless you live a life like Benjamin Button you're going to be all wrinkly too when I am (even more).

Sidthegnomenator,

This is for you, http://goo.gl/zkgl

Aww yeah sunny, I'm glad darling Finn won something but I was hoping for a longer interview lol. Even though Swann should have won it, I didn't expect him to win since ICC only added him to the list of Cricketer of the Year only after an official protest from ECB. It's so unfair, so many Indian in ICC, stupid Sharad Pawar....and this time, voting took place I think, and so many Indian watch cricket, huge population, no wonder Indians got the awards.

Stani and sunny, didn't watch the awards? I saw Watson there, he was making a face when someone else got the award.

Well, that settles it then. For those naive enough to believe everything they read on the net, anyway.

Sidthegnomenator,

lol you still think he wasn't nominated? It was in many websites that first, Swann wasn't included in the long list of cricketers of the year but was included in the short list. Atherton spoke about it while commentating during a match, it was in the newspapers too. Fool.

Oh no, you called me a fool. How will I go on?
